THAI SUPPORTS “BRIGHTNESS TO NEPALESE’S EYES” PROJECT

      Further tightening relation between Thailand and Nepal, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) recently provided support to the “Brightness to Nepalese’s Eyes” which was organized during 24-26 February 2016 at Wat Thai Lumpini, Nepal. THAI provided flights for doctors and nurses as well as transportation for medication and medical equipment from Ramathibodi Hospital, Nong Bua Lamphu Hospital, Buriram Hospital, Mahachai 2 Hospital, Mettapracharak Watraikhing Hospital and Nakhon Phanom Hospital to Kathmandu, Nepal. Doctors and nurses from Thailand worked with a medical team from Nepal to provide eye operations to 728 Nepalese people.
      The project was organised by Wat Thai Lumpini, the Royal Thai Embassy at Kathmandu, Thai Pueng Thai Foundation, Thai and Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology in honour of His Majesty the King’s 88th Birthday Anniversary, the 70th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne, Her Majesty the Queen’s 84th Birthday Anniversary and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 60th Birthday Anniversary in 2015.
