On the occasion of Her Majesty’s 84th birthday anniversary on 12 August 2016, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) joined hands with Pan Pacific and Southeast Asia Women’s Association of Thailand under the Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen to organize a special day for the elderly. The collaboration brought together 84 senior citizens aged between 65 and 75 years old from Srisajarakae Noj community near Suvarnabhumi Airport, Samut Prakan Province, for a one-day field trip to THAI facilities. The group had an opportunity to experience being inside a THAI aircraft and to explore THAI’s Hangar Aircraft Repair Station, which is Southeast Asia’s largest aircraft repair station. The warm and encouraging welcome and care that THAI volunteers and managing team provided made a memorable impression with the senior citizens.
THAI offers various facilities and services for elderlies and passengers with physical disabilities. Wheelchair with physical disabilities. Wheelchair services are categorized into 3 levels.
Category1 : Passengers are capable of walking up and down the aircraft stairs and are able to help themselves to their seat.
Category 2 : Passengers are unable of walk up and down the aircraft stairs by themselves but are able to help themselves to their seat.
Category 3 : Passengers have very limited movements and are unable to help themselves to their seat.
